Overview |

A qualitative teachers’ continuous professional training represents a priority, both at national and European level. Motivating teachers to be constantly engaged in their own professional development process, strengthening their status and their professional profile requires a coherent and flexible approach of the teachers’ professional training system and, in particular, an establishment of continuous training pathways centered on their needs and on the specific professional competences, according to the particularities of each level of schooling, but also with each stage of evolution in the didactic career.

The objectives of this workshop are:

• identifying the strengths and the vulnerabilities of the teachers’ continuous professional training system;
• identifying the continuous professional training needs of the participating teachers;
• analyzing the teachers’ opinions related to the motivation of engaging in continuous professional training programs and on the most appropriate ways for its increasing;
• presenting examples of good practices concerning the teachers’ professional training.
